Meet Catherine

FOUNDER of Weelicious and OnePotato

Catherine McCord

Why we asked Catherine to be a Guest Gifter...

We fell in love with Catherine when she came to speak at our first digital mompreneur panel earlier this year.  She spoke of her amazing drive to build her company Weelicious, a resource for parents to see how easy it is to expose children to wholesome, delicious homemade food.  Her quest to figure out what to feed her first child when he was an infant, lead her to create Weelicious. Her goals are to inspire you with readily available ingredients, recipes that are fast, fresh and easy and to provide you with a ton of trusted information. If you haven't seen any of her recipes, be prepared to be swooned over these recipes.

More about Catherine

She's written two cookbooks for families. Weelicious: One Family. One Meal and Weelicious Lunches: Think Outside the Lunchbox. In 2015, spurred on once again by the voices of our awesome Weelicious community, she launched One Potato, the first organic home meal delivery kit service focused specifically on the dinnertime needs of families. Using Weelicious users' most favorite recipes as well as many new ones, the company’s mission is keeping meals delicious and simple, so that every dinner appeals to both adults and kids. One Potato sends all of the ingredients pre-prepped so that every meal gets on the table in 30 minutes or less and so kids can actually help their parents make the meals. They wanted a company that was socially and environmentally responsible so we built in a charitable component, providing a meal to a family in need for every box the company sells, sourcing produce and proteins from farmers dedicated to respecting the land and animals they raise, and packaging and shipping the meals in and with fully recyclable, biodegradable and/or reusable materials. They currently deliver to all of California, Nevada and Arizona with plans to expand nationwide.

She's the author of the monthly “Snack Mom” column in Parenting Magazine, have appeared multiple times in People, Self and Real Simple magazines, on The Today Show, ABC’s The Chew, Access Hollywood Live, Good Morning America and Fox News as well as appearing regularly on the Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games and doing the occasional guest spot on Food Network’s Next Food Network Star and Duff Till Dawn.
